It connects sustainability with the business model and makes impact measurable and manageable. <\/p><p>At its core, a robust sustainability strategy begins with defining the vision and level of ambition: What role should sustainability play in the company going forward, and what level of ambition does management pursue? Building on this, a structured status quo analysis follows, creating transparency on the company\u2019s current sustainability performance. This analysis examines both internal activities and external requirements and compares the company against industry standards, best practices, and relevant competitors. This makes it possible to identify strengths, gaps, and key areas for action.   <\/p><p>Another central component is clearly formulated objectives and sub-strategies. These translate the overarching level of ambition into realistic, company-specific targets for key thematic areas\u2014such as climate, supply chain, or governance. Critical here is deriving concrete action packages: measures are prioritized, responsibilities defined, and timelines established, so that strategic objectives translate into operational action.  <\/p><p>To ensure the strategy doesn&#8217;t remain on paper, implementation and monitoring are essential. Embedding it in existing processes, decision-making structures, and management systems ensures that sustainability becomes part of day-to-day operations.
